Conservation Education
184 schools beside mountain forests use reviewed curricula that connect classroom learning to real fences, water towers and wildlife next door.
Problem: Children growing up on forest edges inherit both the benefits and the conflicts of living beside water towers, yet standard textbooks rarely reflect that daily reality.
Action: Rhino Ark runs conservation education with partner schools: structured curricula, workshops and field-linked lessons on forests, wildlife and stewardship. Teachers and KWS-aligned partners keep materials current.
Outcome: 184 schools now weave conservation into teaching, reinforcing what fence and livelihood programmes do on the ground and pairing, where funded, with rainwater harvesting for safer school water.
