What Rhino Ark is doing

A 43 km electrified ring went up in 2014 with deliberate gaps for connectivity, built by KWS crews and local labour under a public-private partnership with the Eburu Community Forest Association.

Hon. Keriako Tobiko marked the commissioning as proof that communities, agencies and donors can share one finished project. CFA members still co-manage access points.

“The commissioning of the Mau Eburu Electric Fence is a great example of the success and impact Public-Private Partnerships can bring to communities. I commend Rhino Ark on their continuous conservation efforts.”
Hon. Keriako Tobiko
